Rowland has had a passionate love affair with food, beverage and entertainment from as far back as he can remember. Rowland’s passion for hospitality started at an early age, at a small restaurant and lounge operated by his parents in Ocho Rios Jamaica.
Throughout his education, hospitality was the backdrop to his business education and eventually earned him a prestigious academic scholarship to study at the Hocking College School of Hospitality in Ohio, USA where he earned a Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management.
After completing his degree, he was one of only a handful of students recruited to work at the prestigious Greenbrier Resort a Mobil 5 star and AAA 5 diamond resort in West Virginia.
Over the next 7 years, as a Dining Room Manager in the fine dining restaurant, Rowland honed his craft alongside top chefs, maître d’s and hospitality professionals. His level of service was further elevated while serving clients with exceptionally discriminating tastes and the most exacting of standards. It is here that Rowland was trained as a fine dining and tea etiquette expert and certified adult educator.
