Co-Work and Chill is a monthly online, 2 hour event created and hosted by Build Out Loud’s Stacey-Ann Morris and Meron Berhe. It’s a space for Black women (sorry fellas) that brings together, in their own words, “Black women creatives, entrepreneurs, business owners, intrapreneurs, anybody who has a to-do list and wants to get it done!”
The 2-hour format goes something like this:
- 45 minutes to discuss the theme: January’s theme was “Moving with Intention for 2021”. So yes, there’s a learning component and the quality and delivery of the content is on point! They also provided tools and resources to encourage you in implementing the theme and even a little homework. They called it ‘activities‘ to do at home…that’s homework lol!! But, very intentional and helpful in setting you up for success.
- 45 minutes of deep work: This is the co-work part where they play the deep work soundtrack and you get down to business with whatever project or tasks you brought with you.
- 30 minutes of networking and sharing: This is the chill part! There are a ton of amazing women coming together to support and learn from one another.
But, let me not give up all the goods! If you want to know more, you’ll have to check it out for yourself.
If you missed it, you should definitely check out their next event which will be posted in the What’s Poppin’ In The City newsletter.
